This division is effectively structured and supported by Contract Managers, Area Managers and Branch Managers with dedicated mobile supervisory staff conducting quality assurance checks on all sites. The structure also supports the security operations from a 24 hour control centre on Branch Level, linked to the National Control Centre.
This division has the full and integrated support of all other relevant products and services offered by the Group and endeavours to specifically utilise the intelligence, investigative, canine, technology and risk assessment services in support of the manned guarding services.
THE REACTION UNIT
As with our other services, our claim to excellence and success of this unit is based on the twin-attributes of efficiency and motivation.
A careful staff selection process ensures that the efficiency of the unit is kept high and relative to the industry. This unit’s success in critical security situations includes crowd controlling during industrial labour unrests, festivals and the transfer of large amounts of money or other assets.

PROTEA COIN EQUESTRIAN UNIT
Reacting to client requirements, Protea Coin added another Division to our growing list of services – The Mounted Unit –, which is part of the successful Protea Reaction Unit.
This unit is used for crowd control during industrial mass actions, festivals, major sport events, general crime prevention, and cable patrols along railway lines and in car parks. Our well cared for horses, of the “Friesian” breed, are centrally stabled, from where they can be deployed to destinations in and around the reef at remarkably short notice.
